I do not encourage readers with no formal Chinese education to write Chinese words. It is troublesome, not many have the patience. But there is an alternative--type hanyu pinyin then you got the Chinese words.
You can download google pinyin or use the Window XP chinese, type pinyin then select the word you want from the list with same pronunciation, example:
type "wo" these words will appear in the box 1.我 2.喔 3.握......press 1，you got the word 我。
If you want to type "I love you" then type "wo ai ni" 我爱你。If your HP has Chinese installed, may do the same. You can SMS to a Chinese friend to give him/her a surprise.
